Acklands-Grainger hosts Canada's largest MRO and safety product expo

Acklands-Grainger is hosting “The Works,” Canada’s largest maintenance repair and operations (MRO) and safety show, at the Toronto Congress Centre Jan. 15-16. As part of the event, Acklands-Grainger, founded in 1889, is celebrating its 125th year of operations.
“The Works” brings together more than 3,000 members of the Canadian business community, manufacturers of MRO products and Acklands-Grainger team members to discuss industry trends, safety and strategies for reducing operating costs and enhancing productivity.

“We’ve been committed to helping Canadian businesses keep their operations running and their employees safe for 125 years,” said Eric Nowlin, president of Acklands-Grainger. “Our goal is to serve as a trusted partner to local businesses by providing access to more than 350,000 products, related solutions and support through events like this to help them be successful.”

A defining feature of this year’s show, now in its eighth year, is a 9,000 sqare foot factory-themed pavilion that showcases nearly 500 different products and illustrates how businesses can leverage eCommerce capabilities and inventory management solutions to save time and money in buying and managing their MRO purchases.

In addition to the factory-themed pavilion and product expo, the company will host a variety of seminars to provide information and industry best practices in areas related to effectively managing MRO costs and how sustainability efforts can help drive business performance.

Canadian Occupational Safety editor, Amanda Silliker, will be speaking about Canada’s Safest Employers awards at a seminar about creating a world-class safety culture. Acklands-Grainger is the national founding and title sponsor for Canada's Safest Employers awards, and keeping people safe on the job has always been a top priority for the company.

"Within the business, we have a huge saftey culture. In fact, if you look at what we stand for and how the business grew up, it really grew up as a safety business," said Nowlin. "We have a lot of expertise in safety."
