Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) has launched the new Workwell mobile app. It’s the only app on the market where employers can interactively evaluate their own health and safety management systems against the WSIB’s Workwell standards.
In addition to conducting assessments without a clipboard and pen, users can use the app to record notes, save evaluations and share assessments; easily access health and safety regulations; and find resources to help make improvements and implement corrective measures.
Companies that choose to adopt Workwell standards and make improvements to their workplace health and safety management system have fewer injuries, illnesses and less lost time, the WSIB said.
The Workwell app is a self-assessment tool for an employer’s personal use. Information captured on the app will not be sent to the WSIB.
The app is available to download on the Apple App Store and on the Google Play Store.
