Face mask with surround sound
Draeger’s new PSS 7000 self-contained breathing apparatus includes a fully integrated electronic monitoring system, called Sentinel 7000, and a comfort sealing face mask, called FPS 7000, designed for surround sound communication. Sentinel 7000 includes a PASS device that provides both audible and visual alarms to the user, the company says. It displays and records all vital information from the PASS device and from the self-contained breathing apparatus, providing real-time information on air supply and consumption, Draeger says. The new communication system fits into the FPS 7000 mask and has a fully integrated voice amplifier/radio interface system. The communication system includes Draeger’s new titanium sound technology (TTS), which has a resistance to high temperature environments. TTS is incorporated into the Draeger PASS alarm sounders providing a loud 95 dba plus warning output to alert other firefighters in the area. www.draeger.com
