Arc flash full body harness
MSA Safety introduces the Evotech Arc Flash full body harness. The harness is designed to self-extinguish quickly, which would prevent melting or dripping in the event of an arc flash. This innovative harness helps keep workers safe around electrical hazards at heights. The rugged design not only looks good, but is more comfortable than other harnesses. It is 30 per cent lighter than comparable harness models, says MSA. It is made with 100 per cent Kevlar webbing, and is fire resistant so it maintains its performance even in the event of a fall after an arc flash. Its inherent properties help it maintain its colour, making formal inspection easy. The Kevlar shoulder padding is light weight and has no binding edge so the user is more comfortable. The patent-pending horizontal leg strap design conforms to the user’s body for increased support. The harness keeps safety managers and contractors in compliance with the latest electrical requirements but is still cost effective.
