Blasting helmets
The new Nova 2000 from Allegro Industries is designed for the blasting professional, according to the company. Engineered to be the most advanced abrasive blasting helmet on the market, Nova 2000 is made of U.V.-stabilized and abrasion-resistant high-density polyethylene that meets penetration requirements of ANSI 289.1 standard, the company says. The helmet offers premium comfort with its lightweight foam padding that’s Velcro-mounted for easy removal and cleaning. It features large double lens with optional tear-out lenses, which allows for optimum vision without irritating side glare. So that workers may breathe easily while they work, and to cool the head and face, the air duct distribution diffuses breathing air evenly throughout the helmet, with the added benefit of preventing the viewing lens from fogging, Allegro says. Nova 2000 also features multi-layered sound-deadening foam, making it one of the quietest blasting helmets on the market, the company says.
