Casella USA’s CEL-350 dBadge micro noise dosimeter is compact and lightweight, designed to measure the noise exposure of an employee over the working day and to ensure compliance with strict OSHA, NIOSH or ISO (European) regulations. Users can comfortably wear the compact CEL-350 dBadge all day by attaching it to a shirt, overalls or hardhat. There are no microphone cables to damage or get caught up in, and no other external equipment is required, the company says. Once in use, the unit captures a time history for every noise event, including average noise level and peak value, which is logged in one-minute values for later analysis. The dBadge’s 64kB memory can store up to 180 hours of data. It has a built-in display, a first for dosimeters its size, Casella says. The display makes it easy to perform calibration, while also providing status information and key measured data. Measurement data stored on the CEL-350 dBadge can be downloaded to a computer for analysis. A report template is included in the dB35 database software that comes with the device, the company says.
