Welder-ready seating
Canadian manufacturer Synetik Design Inc. has developed what the company claims as the first complete range of ergonomic seats for welders. Combining productivity, safety and design, these chairs are fit for work tasks from the ground to 55 inches high, seating or unusual work positions such as kneeling or lying. Welders are often at risk for musculoskeletal injuries, Synetic ergonomic chairs offer an effective solution any welding application to improve worker health and safety, the company said. The chairs feature kneepads and a stool which allow users to work in a kneeling position with comfort. The chair’s ergonomic design reduces pressure sensations felt in the knees, ankles and lumbar region, allows users to vary work position quickly and easily and reduces fatigue by limiting muscular effort, the company said.
