At the American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) annual conference, held in Baltimore last June, I got a chance to meet some members of the Women in Safety Engineering (WISE) group. WISE is the brainchild of ASSE’s female members, who got together about eight years ago to create a networking group that particularly caters to issues and opportunities specific to women in the safety profession.
