CTHRC Announces the first employee-rated employer of choice

The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC) and the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB) are pleased to announce that the Complexe Les Deux Rivieres is the first recipient of the employee-rated Employer of Choice designation. The Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick vacation centre has achieved this distinction through its development and implementation of leading human resource practices.

"By achieving this status, the Complexe Les Deux Rivieres has demonstrated it values its employees and puts first-rate HR practices at the forefront of its goals," states Wendy Swedlove, CTHRC president. "Choice employers who continually improve their HR practices will be in a better position to attract and retain the talent they need to remain competitive once the economy improves and the tourism sector is again hit by a labour shortage."

Currently a host business to the World Acadian Congress, the property is thrilled with this designation.

"We are extremely pleased to have been involved in the implementation of the program in New Brunswick and are honoured to have one of our very own New Brunswick tourism businesses be the first recipient of this official recognition in Canada," says Real Robichaud, executive director of TIANB. "The determination to achieve excellence in HR practices and continually enhance the overall vacation experience is what puts Le Complexe Les Deux Rivieres in a league of its own."
