Magid is expanding its clothing line to include a flame resistant welding jacket. The Magid FR welding jacket features ANSI Cut Level 4 sleeves and a breathable FR mesh back panel to help prevent heat exhaustion. The FR mesh material provides protection while allowing body heat to escape so workers stay cool. As welding exposes workers to high temperature environments, this jacket solves the problem of protecting workers while keeping them comfortable so their work is not compromised or interrupted, says Magid. Manufactured in Illinois, the jacket includes para-aramid knit cuffs for a snug fit with thumb holes to prevent the sleeves from riding up. It also includes leather re-inforced enclosed metal snap closures on the front placket for enhanced durability. The FR welding jacket is ideal for welding operations, assembly and metal fabrication. The jacket is not recommended for overhead welding or other applications where sparks and slag could get trapped in flame resistant mesh material.
