Awareness training
YOW Canada has announced the launch of its newest online course, Ontario Workers and Supervisors Health and Safety Awareness. Effective, July 1, 2014, all Ontario workers and supervisors must have health and safety awareness training to legally work in Ontario. YOW Canada’s new training courses meet and exceed the Ministry of Labour’s requirements. They give Ontario workers and supervisors the basic understanding and knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and their rights and duties within the act. Upon successful completion of the course, the training certificate is instantly emailed to the trainee and it never expires. If the worker misplaces it, he can contact YOW Canada at any time for another copy. The course covers: introduction and legislation; the internal responsibility system; hazards, controls and WHMIS; and first aid.
