The Infrared Non-Contact Thermometer by Ideal Industries allows users to measure the surface temperatures of live circuits, difficult-to-reach objects and moving parts from a safe distance. This allows maintenance professionals to perform regular monitoring of heat from surfaces, preventing potential problems and failures, the company said. The thermometer can also be used in the HVAC, health and safety, food preparation and process control fields. It is made more versatile by its built-in sockets, which support Type K thermocouple probes to facilitate access to obstructed areas, the company said. It features a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, and can measure temperatures between –60 C and 500 C.
