Sparks won’t fly
Rockford Systems, Inc.’s milling machine shields are specially designed and constructed chip shields ideal for Bridgeport milling machines. The shields place a barrier between flying chips, sparks or coolant from the machine and the operators and other employees around the work area. They can be easily moved in or out of position to provide quick tool and part changes. These Bridgeport milling machine shields are made of high impact-resistant, transparent polycarbonate material. Attached to the bottom of each section of the shield is durable and flexible neoprene material to keep flying chips and swarf contained, as the bed moves up and down. The shields are quick and easy to install, and attach directly to existing head machine bolts without the need for additional drilling or tapping. They are available in both front and rear shields.
