Easy-to-clean keyboard
The Cleankeys one-wipe-clean wireless keyboard features a patent-pending tap technology that’s unique to the touch-sensitive keyboard market, according to its manufacturer, Cleankeys Inc. Users can rest their hands on the keyboard’s surface without typing on contact. Cleankeys only types when users tap the keys, sending vibrations down to its individual key sensors. Of all common surfaces, keyboards are one of the most germ-infested. In hospitals, keyboards are known to spread infection more than any other surface. Clinical trials prove that a single wipe with a disinfecting cloth on Cleankeys’ smooth surface kills 99 per cent of all bacteria. The same test on standard plastic and rubber keyboards eliminates less than 5 per cent, the company said. Cleankeys is designed and manufactured in Edmonton, Alta.?
