Radio for explosive environments
Motorola’s MTP850Ex TETRA portable radio provides high quality communication with comprehensive user safety for safe use when in environments containing potentially explosive gas and dust. The radio complies with international safety standards ATEX and IECEx. Protection of personnel is further enhanced by the integrated “man down” feature — which activates an emergency alert based on motion detection and incline angle threshold settings. Furthermore the terminals have a GPS receiver, which in combination with SafeMobile’s GPS-based AVL localization application, enables the precise location of personnel to be identified on site maps. The voice compression technology provides superior audio quality and suppresses background noise to prevent transmissions from being misheard. The increased channel capacity allows for workers to get on with the job without having to disrupt operations.
