Flashlight for hazardous locations
Streamlight has introduced a new intrinsically safe light, the 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO. The new alkaline-battery powered light, which features brighter C4 LED technology, is suitable for use in Division 1 hazardous locations faced by many industrial technicians and other professionals. In addition to its safety features, the 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO delivers brightness and run time for a variety of tasks. It provides 65 lumens, 2,300 candela peak beam intensity and a 96-metre beam distance, while offering a run time of 24 hours to 10 per cent of its initial lumen output. The 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO features a smooth parabolic reflector that produces a tight beam, while also optimizing peripheral illumination. The light, which is powered by two 1.5V AA alkaline batteries, offers a push-button tail switch for momentary or constant on operation. The new light also is extremely durable, featuring both an impact-resistant Engineering polymer body and face cap, and an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating. Its C4 LED is impervious to shock with a 50,000 hour lifetime. The 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO weighs 3.6 ounces, and measures 6.4 inches. It is IPX7 rated for waterproof operation to 1 metre for 30 minutes, and is also impact resistance tested to 1 metre. The light is available in yellow or black.
