Gas detection transmitters
Scott Health & Safety has launched its latest advancement in gas detection. The Freedom 6000 supports the detection of toxic and combustible gases, and incorporates a universal transmitter into a fixed gas detection system, simplifying maintenance and reducing training costs, the company said. The system combines Scott’s advanced sensor technology with a modular design to enable simple component replacements and field upgrades. The Freedom 6000 is available with a comprehensive suite of accessories to enable users to customize a solution to meet any application. In addition to the Freedom 6000, Scott Health & Safety manufactures a full line of fixed gas detection solutions under the Freedom series to meet any application or budget requirement. Freedom Direct, for example, detects combustible gases and carbon dioxide using infrared (IR) or catalytic bead sensor technologies. The detector delivers information on gas concentrations directly to a Scott controller without the need for a transmitter, reducing the cost of a point of combustible gas detection by as much as 40 per cent. When local display is required, Freedom Direct can be easily upgraded to Freedom 6000 for an efficient, value-oriented detection solution, the company said.
