Claims decisions: Could you put that in writing?

Although it may seem selfevident, it is important to ensure that decisions made by the compensation board are issued in writing, and not just confirmed verbally. In a few files that I have worked on lately, there have been issues related to this.

Medical marijuana: Science or stigma?

Most workers’ compensation boards across the country generally disallow claims for medical marijuana, but have no issue with narcotics. The question then arises:  Are the denials based on stigma or science?
