Pleats offer more filters |

 Pleats Plus N95 Respirator is Aearo Technologies’ latest
line of particulate respirators that features a pleated design for increased
filtering surface area and allows better talk-thru for more effective
communication, the company says. Pleats Plus uses a new filter material that
offers very low breathing resistance, thereby enhancing user comfort, adds the
company. It comes in two models, which the company claims can fit any face
shape and size, and can easily be folded and stored in the pocket for re-use.

 AOSafety’s QuickFit full face mask respirator series has
been enhanced to include a Mesh Headgear ideal for hard hats, helmets and other
head coverings, says QuickFit maker Aearo Technologies. The Standard Quickfit
face mask included a plastic headgear that goes on with a twist and comes off
with a pull of the silver handle. The Mesh Headgear has a flexible mesh that
allows for a snug and comfortable fit with head protection gears, the company
says. QuickFit products, which features AOSafety’s Twist and Seal design, come
in four face piece sizes to fit a wide variety of users, says Aearo
Technologies.

New masks filter oil, gas substances |

 The new P95 series of filtration face pieces from North Safety Products are ideal for use in environments with oil and gas substances, according to the company. The 8140P95 is a respirator designed for dusty applications that contain oily base particulates, while the 8145P95 is ideal for particulate protection when gas or vapour exists. North Safety says both products have a full flange seal cushion for better fit and protection, and features a curved nose clip for a snug fit around the nose area. The 8140P95 is particularly useful in tool rooms, machine shops, grinding applications, or when sweeping and sanding in hot environments. The 8145P95 model, on the other hand, provides organic vapour, acid gas and ozone protection below permissible exposure level, and includes a blue exhalation valve, which refers to hydrogen fluoride protection in a smelter, the company says.

AOSafety has announced the release of the new Singular Half Mask filter respirator in man-made rubber and three sizes. This NIOSH-approved respirator has a single replaceable filter (N95 or P100) instead of two. Its flexible facepiece and wide-braided elastic headband provide even distribution for its fit. Dual exhalation valves make exhalation twice as easy as other replaceable filter respirators.

 The new North Pancake Series filters provide odour relief from nuisance levels of organic vapors, acid gases and ozone.
