Company says new features better safeguard workers in industrial settings

Blackline Safety upgrade G6 single-gas detector

Blackline Safety Corp. has unveiled an upgrade to its G6 single-gas detector, enhancing its capabilities as a critical wearable safety device. The G6 now incorporates real-time connectivity, similar to the company's G7 product line. New features include an emergency SOS function for workers to summon help during emergencies, an expanded suite of data and reporting analytics, and support for indoor location technology. Additionally, two new service plans, Protect and Protect Plus, starting at $10 per month, offer bundled features to cater to various safety programs.

The G6 is designed to safeguard workers in industrial settings where exposure to toxic gases and hazards is a constant concern. It supports detection of H2S, CO, O2, or SO2 gases, issuing alerts through lights, sounds, and vibrations when contact with gas is detected. Immediate notifications are sent to emergency contacts, potentially saving lives in cases where a worker becomes unconscious due to gas exposure.

Powered by the Blackline Live and Blackline Analytics platforms, the G6 provides usage and compliance analytics, enabling companies to monitor device usage, alert occurrences, and enhance safety programs. These insights empower companies to proactively address safety concerns and optimize their safety initiatives.
