CMATool internet hiring solution rates candidates to jobs based on intrinsic qualities

Written by  Workplace Staff Tuesday, 01 September 2009 11:54
Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could know for sure if a person was going to fit in well to your organization?  When going through the process of hiring a person it is so hard to tell if they will mesh well with you and your team.

Career Matching Assessment Tool (CMATool), is a proactive retention tool that uses patent-pending technology and a scientific questionnaire. CMATool is a unique, revolutionary retention tool that enhances your recruitment process quickly and cost-effectively and can be launched from anywhere around the world.

CMATool’s online questionnaire creates an exact profile for companies and individuals. It is NOT a personality test or survey but a multi-facet tool based on scientific research. It takes approximately 25 minutes to complete the internet questionnaire that instantly gives compatibility measurements of the job seeker to your organization’s corporate CMATool profile. The CMATool profile focuses on the key attributes of any organization including workplace environment; styles of workplace interaction; opportunities for problem solving; and management style.

CMATool helps select the best candidate by matching employers with job applicants according to the essential components of workplace compatibility. As the ultimate recruiting and retention platform to find employees in a timely manner, CMATool prevents the need to invest countless dollars and hours on candidates who are not significant “matches” for the work environment.

GreenJobInterview.com reduces initial job interview costs by more than 600 per cent

Written by  Workplace staff Wednesday, 18 March 2009 14:56
b_200_0_16777215_0___images_stories_2009_green-job-interview.jpg GreenJobInterview.com recently announced that customers of the browser-based on-demand video interviewing service are experiencing and anticipating cost reductions for initial job candidate interviews of greater than 600 per cent.

"Companies typically spend an average of $650 to $2,000 for an initial interview with a job candidate when travel outside the local area is involved," says Greg Rokos, president of GreenJobInterview.com. "Now, they can set up a live, real-time GreenJobInterview and see candidates face-to-face with NO travel and without having to leave their desks for a cost of $49.99 per half hour – and they only pay for the time used."

This fee is also in contrast to typical business center videoconferencing services that cost an average of $450 per interview and still require travel on the part of the candidate. With GreenJobInterview.com, the only equipment required is a webcam, unlike the huge investments required for traditional office-installed videoconferencing, so hiring companies can now see immediate and significant cost reductions for early-stage interviews.

Rokos notes, "A large healthcare company has spent a million dollars per year just on travel expenses for job interviewing. And yet they hire only 15 per cent of those interviewed! That's the real nightmare for hiring managers. Flying in a candidate, booking time with key executives to interview them, setting up a conference room, and then realizing in the first 15 minutes that this is the wrong person for the job. It's a huge waste of time and money and it's embarrassing. GreenJobInterview.com lets hiring professionals meet their candidates, whether local, cross-country or international for the first time in a live video interview. The candidate doesn't leave home and the hiring manager and all other executives stay at their desks. If it's clear in 15 minutes that this isn't the right person, very little time and money is wasted. In fact, since GreenJobInterview costs only $49.99 per half hour, an efficient interviewer can significantly amortize a very small investment based on how many people they can interview in 30 minutes."

GreenJobInterview.com is a new browser-based, point-and-click video interviewing technology. It is an on-demand service that requires no long-term contracts or minimum usage. It operates with only a webcam that is provided by GreenJobInterview.com to both the customer company and the job candidate. The process of setting up and connecting a GreenJobInterview is so simple anyone can do it in minutes.

All applications reside on the GreenJobInterview.com secure servers. Plus, the 24/7 support service of GreenJobInterview.com based in southern California interacts with the job candidates to be certain they are set up correctly before their interview time. The cost is only $49.99 per half hour of interview time after an initial $299.99 setup fee that includes a high-quality webcam for the company. Webcams are sent to candidates for $29.99 plus shipping.

b_200_0_16777215_0___images_stories_2008_Aug2008_cb_iphone_images2.jpg At the touch of an iPhone icon, job searchers using CareerBuilder.com can access the latest jobs from one of the largest job boards in North America. The tool is available on the Apple App Store.

Users simply use the "jobs" icon in their iPhone applications menu and then hit the "search" bar.Using the iPhone's built-in geolocation technology, the CareerBuilder.com application automatically determines the city you are standing in and then allows you to find a job using a simple keyword search. The entire CareerBuilder database is then searched immediately. Within moments, you receive a list of all applicable jobs nearby.

"CareerBuilder.com is constantly exploring new ways to reach the widest possible audience and is excited to be launching an application on the Apple App Store," said Richard Castellini, vice president of consumer marketing at CareerBuilder.com. "Giving iPhone and iPod Touch users the ability to search for jobs on the go adds a whole new level of convenience and accessibility to job hunting and is far more sophisticated than just connecting to a typical Web site from your cell phone."

Utilizing CareerBuilder.com’s enormous database of over 1.6 million jobs, the new application "Jobs" will immediately send users details of nearby available jobs, allow them to be saved as favorites, and then email users a reminder to apply later if they do not do so right away.

Since the iPhone is not made for typing letters, CareerBuilder advises applicants to apply from their personal computers. The iPhone application will email the selected jobs to the applicant's home unit.

Choosing the best candidate

Written by  Administrator Monday, 25 June 2007 10:12
When companies look for an applicant tracking system (ATS), they often overlook the very demographic they need the system for: the applicants. In a recent white paper, nowHIRE, a provider of applicant tracking systems for companies of every size, advises companies to consider the candidate experience when choosing an ATS, whether they hire exempt, non-exempt, contingent or a combination of employee categories.

Because today's workforce is online-savvy, prospects won't tolerate career sites that are hard to navigate, waste their time or require excessive information.

Key points to consider when looking for an ATS include:

* Understand who your candidates are: What language(s) they speak, their education level, how likely they are to find you on the Internet, where they are located, and so on will all determine how you construct your career site.

* Make it easy to apply for positions: Make job listings easy to find and understand.  Pick an ATS that lets you create a self-selection process that requires the minimum information from candidates.

* Strike a balance between the back end and front end of the technology: Serve applicants and hiring managers alike with a user-friendly interface up front and a robust set of recruiting tools behind the scenes.

The nowHIRE® Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a suite of applicant tracking and recruiting software modules designed to give your company the competitive edge.  nowHIRE is modular by design so whether you’re a small company or a large enterprise; or if you need internal desktop solutions or external web-based options, it can be personalized for your organization.

For more information or to download a copy of the white paper, Best Practices in Choosing an Enterprise-Level Applicant Tracking/Hiring Management System:  Keeping the Candidate Experience in Mind, go to www.nowhire.com.
