Re: New Year’s resolutions just don’t cut it (Jan-Feb 2009 issue)

I was intrigued by your article that I read online and now found it in the Occupational Safety magazine. I tried sending word to you below but I don’t think my request got forwarded to you.

I work at Noble Trade and am a working member on our health and safety committee. We are a plumbing wholesale company and are immersed and committed to safety in our workplace. Your article caught my attention due to its direct nature and I forwarded it to the balance of our committee as well as to branch managers at our other locations. What intrigued me is your writing style and the values that came through in your article. I am currently enrolled in a coaching program at Adler (affiliated with U of T) and the wording and your direct questions are quite reminiscent of some of the coaching technique and mindset that I have adapted over the past year. Your article is familiar and it puts the onus on the individual through the power of choice and commitment.

I was wondering if you have a coaching background or if you work with a coach? Whatever the answer, you have a unique strength and your point is well stated.
